OFF THE GRID
/ With RP Boo & Craze
RP Boo is a South Side Chicago DJ/producer widely credited as one of the key architects of footwork/juke, the ultra-fast, rhythm-driven dance music that grew out of Chicago’s ghetto house scene. His early track “Baby Come On” (1997) is often pointed to as a foundational footwork record, and his work later reached global audiences through Planet Mu-era retrospectives like Legacy and Classics Vol. 1.
DJ Craze is a Nicaraguan-American turntablist and producer, celebrated for combining technical scratch mastery with crowd-moving, cross-genre sets (hip-hop, Miami bass, breaks, drum & bass, dubstep, and more). He’s best known historically for becoming the only solo DJ to win the DMC World DJ Championships three years in a row (1998–2000)—a landmark run that cemented his reputation as one of the great battle-to-club DJs.
